Job description

We are the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman, an independent national ombudsman service. We are here to make final decisions on complaints that are yet to be resolved by the NHS in England, UK government departments, and some other public organisations. We do this fairly and transparently without taking sides, and our service is completely free.

About the role

We're looking for a proactive and dynamic Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to members of the Senior Leadership Team as required, and work across the organisation to support projects and activity to enable the organisation to fulfil its aims, priorities and strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will provide an excellent administrative service to members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure they are fully prepared for all meetings and activities. This will include managing diaries and commissioning papers for meetings, as well as note/minute taking, compilation of reports, photocopying, scanning, and gathering information/data as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills including verbal and written, along with previous experience of working in a customer focused environment demonstrating empathy. Experience of providing administrative support, including diary management is also essential.

You will have an understanding of the UK government and parliament.
