As part of the Executive Team, you will support the Chief Partnerships Officer (CPO) in delivering the organisation's UK strategy. This includes full administrative responsibilities, project support, and coordination on critical cross-organisational workstreams.

The Partnerships & Philanthropy Directorate has an overarching view of the organisation and shares responsibility for many key relationships.

Purpose of Post
  • To work as the extension of the Chief Partnerships Officer; to manage proactively, effectively, and efficiently the provision of a full and comprehensive Executive Assistant service to the CPO. This includes full administrative responsibilities, secretarial support, and ad hoc project coordination.
  • To work collaboratively with the other Executive Assistants to provide an overall support service to the Executive team when needed.

The successful candidate will set high but realistic standards and take pride in producing quality work. You will be experienced in nurturing professional relationships with colleagues at all levels, understanding the wider organisation, and working collaboratively with all stakeholders while respecting the confidentiality of sensitive information. You will be highly efficient and effective, demonstrating patience and perseverance during setbacks and challenges, remaining positive and recovering quickly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding flexibly to unforeseen events such as emergency responses to ensure that effectiveness is not compromised.
  • Listening, interpreting, and relaying key messages clearly, accurately, and with impact.
  • Displaying tact and diplomacy at all times.
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders and encouraging cross-organisational working.
  • Prioritising and sustaining focus on work that will have the greatest impact on agreed aims.
  • Being accountable for delivery, working flexibly with changing priorities, and producing high-quality work.
  • Using your initiative on a day-to-day basis.
  • Providing high-level support at the Executive level to enable efficient, effective, and timely delivery across a breadth of responsibilities.
  • Managing complex diaries and successfully planning and coordinating major meetings/events.
