Job description

At the Laing O'Rourke Centre, we are working on making a difference in society by transforming how we deliver the built environment. Supported by and working closely with industry, our work focuses on topics that include sustainability, social value, well-being, and productivity, and we deliver a world-leading Masters education programme.

The scope of the role:
  • Our EA will support the Centre Director, Centre Deputy Director, and Centre Manager and, from time to time, other Centre academics.
  • Providing full secretarial support that includes diary management; tracking workflow to ensure timely follow-up of tasks; making travel arrangements; preparing documentation; managing expense claims and drafting emails.
  • Liaison with industry and research partners to set up and arrange meetings and larger scale events.
  • Providing full secretarial support to various Committees and Boards.
  • Supporting the Centre's recruitment and HR administration processes.
  • Undertaking ad hoc projects.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 1 November 2027 in the first instance.
