A governmental organisation in London seeks an Executive and Committee Administrative Officer to support governance functions and provide administrative assistance to senior leaders. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in providing governance advice, minuting meetings, and managing diaries and travel arrangements. We are the final stage for complaints about the NHS in England and public services delivered by the UK Government. We look into complaints where someone believes there has been injustice or hardship because an organisation has not acted properly or fairly or has given a poor service and not put things right.

An exciting new role has been created in the Executive Office and Governance team working closely with the Chief of Staff at the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. The Executive and Committee Administration Officer will undertake governance functions as well as provide administrative support to the most senior colleagues in the organisation, including the Ombudsman, CEO and Board members.
In this role you will support the processes by which PHSO achieves compliance with legislative, regulatory, policy, process, procedures and governance guidance requirements. You will also support the administration of internal control systems, the corporate calendar of business, the Governance Framework and other records required for efficient governance.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in providing governance advice and support, minuting formal meetings as well as providing administrative and executive support to senior leaders, such as diary management and travel arrangements. You will also have experience in providing Board and Committee support, producing forward plans and meeting agendas, and logging actions and matters arising.
