A local government authority in Plymouth is looking for an enthusiastic Lawyer to provide expert legal support. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister, managing a diverse caseload including drafting contracts and advising on commercial law. The role offers a supportive team environment and excellent work/life balance, including the option for remote work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor, Barrister with practising certificate or CILEX Fellow with the ability to provide expert legal support to client departments by telephone or at meetings, often without prior knowledge of the facts. You will need to demonstrate professionalism as well as excellent communication and drafting skills together with a flexible and positive approach and an ability to work under pressure. You will be working in a super friendly team with colleagues and managers who are very supportive.

Some prior knowledge and experience of corporate governance would be an advantage. You may also be asked to undertake some commercial property transactions from time to time.
