They are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Exclusion/Inclusion Room Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will support their mission to ensure all students, including those at risk of exclusion or struggling with behaviour, remain engaged in their education.
The Role:
As the Exclusion/Inclusion Room Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Exclusion/Inclusion Room. Your role will involve supporting students in managing their behaviour, helping them reintegrate into the classroom environment, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusion throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and supervise students placed in the Exclusion/Inclusion Room, ensuring a calm and productive environment.
· Develop and deliver tailored behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
· Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to implement individualized support plans.
· Provide mentoring and guidance to students, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.
· Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents, reporting to senior leadership as required.
· Promote restorative approaches and facilitate reintegration meetings with students, parents, and staff.
· Uphold the schools safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
What the school is Looking For:
· Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
· A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to managing challenging situations.
· Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and restorative practices.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
· A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
· Relevant qualifications in education, social work, or counselling are an advantage but not essential.
