As an Art Teacher at our state school, you will teach students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, delivering an engaging and diverse art curriculum that caters to a wide range of artistic interests and abilities. You will inspire students to express themselves through various media and develop a lifelong love for the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Delivering Lessons: As an Art Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across multiple art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art, ensuring that lessons are stimulating and inclusive for all students.
Fostering Creativity: You will encourage students to explore and experiment with their artistic practice, helping them develop their skills and express their individual creativity.
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress in their artwork, providing constructive feedback and offering support to help them improve.
Collaboration: As an Art Teacher, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Art Department to share resources, ideas, and best practices, ensuring consistency and high standards across the department.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Support the school’s extra-curricular offerings, including art clubs, exhibitions, and school projects that allow students to showcase their work and further develop their skills outside the classroom.
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher who is eager to inspire students and help them discover their creative potential.
Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), is required.
Experience: While we welcome applications from early career Art Teachers (ECTs), experience teaching Art at GCSE and A-level is an advantage.
Passion for Art: You should have a deep passion for the arts and be enthusiastic about encouraging students to explore their creativity.
