Team Overview

The Applied Engineering team manages connectivity between Deutsche Bank and Financial Market venues, including hedge funds, mutual funds, financial institutions, corporate/investment banks, brokers, clients, exchanges, dark pools, clearing connectivity, data vendors, and settlement houses across all asset classes.

• Manage day-to-day connectivity requests and projects such as new venue builds and data center relocations
• Coordinate mandatory Exchange Updates with venue and application teams
• Provide third-level support for critical connectivity issues
• Design and implement infrastructure improvements
• Participate in rota-based weekend work

Skills and Experience

• Deep knowledge of exchange connectivity across asset classes
• Understanding of network technologies, multicast, Corvil, Linux, firewalls, and venue protocols
• Experience working with diverse teams including application development, network, and venue operations
• Financial industry experience focused on electronic trading
• Experience managing large projects across multiple regions and business areas
