The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced KS1 Phase Lead to join our school and take responsibility for leading the Key Stage 1 phase. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to shape and influence the learning and development of our young learners, leading a team of passionate teachers and making a significant impact on school improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the KS1 teaching team, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the phase.
  • Monitor and track the progress of all KS1 pupils, addressing any barriers to learning and ensuring all children reach their potential.
  • Support and mentor teachers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a rich and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to build positive partnerships and support pupil progress.
  • Ensure a positive and safe learning environment, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the school’s overall development and improvement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and an understanding of effective teaching strategies in KS1.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their personal and academic development.
  • High expectations of pupils and colleagues, with a focus on raising standards and improving outcomes.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
