A fast-expanding fintech business in London is seeking an experienced Payments Lawyer to provide legal guidance on payments, e-money, and open banking compliance. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial regulatory matters and a strong knowledge of UK/EU regulatory regimes. This role involves advising on product launches, compliance, and supporting commercial agreements with payment service providers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payments and financial regulatory matters.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU regulatory regimes (FCA, PRA, PSD2/PSD3, EMD2, AML).
  • Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.

The role involves advising on payments, e-money, open banking, and related regulatory frameworks, including PSD2/PSD3, FCA requirements, AML/CTF, and consumer protection. You will provide strategic legal guidance on product launches, compliance, licensing, and regulatory engagement, while supporting commercial agreements with payment service providers, fintechs, and financial institutions.
