OCU Group is seeking dedicated and highly skilled excavator operatives (teams) to join our expanding workforce across Yorkshire and Humber.

This position is open to multiple candidates, as our goal is to grow our current teams.

The ideal candidates will be responsible for various tasks on our long-term contract with Northern PowerGrid, ensuring all duties are performed safely and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environment standards.
2. Adhere to company policies at all times.
3. Report all site-related incidents.
4. Maintain high standards in all excavations.
5. Operate excavators across different work streams.
6. Produce high-quality results, reports, and feedback.
7. Establish good relationships with customers and the public, communicate effectively, and resolve issues promptly.
8. Be flexible with weekend and out-of-hours work as required.

Skills and Experience:

• NRSWA – Full Course
• Abrasive Wheels
• Excavator Licence 10T and above (including below ground)
• Dumper (desirable)
• Winch (desirable)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Self-motivated and organized
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Professional and positive attitude
• Previous experience working on underground electric infrastructure
