Job summary

The Lanes Group, based in Plymouth, is seeking an Excavation Engineer to join a two-person groundworks crew. The role offers 40 hours per week and a starting pay of £16 per hour, with enhanced overtime potential. Training will be provided to support work on drainage, excavations, pipe renewals and reinstatements across varied sites.

Candidate must hold a full driving licence (≤6 penalty points). Desirable tickets include NRSWA Streetworks, excavator 10t+, CSCS, and First Aid at Work.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Desirable: NRSWA Streetworks
• Desirable: Machine ticket (excavator >10t)
• Desirable: Confined space level 2+
• Desirable: Cat & Genny Location
• Desirable: Shoring

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Excavation engineer to join our Chester depot due to our increased workload.

Salary: £16.00 per hour

Location: Plymouth

Hours:40 hours per week

Enhanced Overtime rates, with uncapped earning potential

You will be working as part of a two-person team on groundwork projects;
