Overview

St Edwards Church of England Academy Exams Invigilator Start date: 24 November 2025 (pending receipt of DBS and satisfactory references) Salary: Spine Point 3 (£13.98 per hour, plus holiday pay) PLEASE UPDATE TO CURRENT RATES

Responsibilities
  • Develop a team of high-quality examination invigilators to cover internal and external exams.
  • Supervise examinations to ensure that all regulations are adhered to and help with related administration such as preparing scripts for dispatch to the examining board.
Qualifications
  • No experience is necessary however invigilators have to: be reliable, flexible and readily available during main exam periods
  • Have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work well as part of a team
  • Be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms
  • Be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people
  • Have basic IT skills (familiar with use of email, mobile phone messaging etc.)
