Job Description:

This role involves marking candidates' responses for the GCE A Level Physical Education (2016 Specification) exam, in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to recognition and examination procedures. Marking can be done onscreen using ePEN from home, or traditionally with paper scripts sent via post. A strong subject knowledge is required, with each examiner allocated a set of scripts.

Responsibilities:

1. Mark accurately and consistently to maintain standards.
2. Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
3. Adhere to marking milestones.
4. Complete all administration as specified.

Experience and Qualifications Needed:

• At least one academic year's teaching experience within the last 8 years, in the relevant subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified teacher status.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme effectively.

Additional Information:

• The marking period is from May to July.
• Training for marking will occur between May and June.
