Examiner - BTEC National Level 3 Uniformed Protective Services, London

We are currently recruiting Examiners for the BTEC Nationals (Level 3) Uniformed Protective Services. This is a part-time role which can be completed remotely, in your own time.

Purpose

A BTEC Nationals Examiner marks candidates’ responses according to the pre-defined mark scheme, adhering to the Code of Practice and examination procedures. Most subjects are marked onscreen using ePEN, which can be done from home. Some subjects are still marked traditionally using paper scripts sent via post. A high level of subject knowledge is required to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an allocated number of scripts.

Responsibilities

• Mark accurately and consistently to maintain standards.
• Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
• Meet marking milestones.
• Complete all required administration as specified.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A degree or equivalent.
• Experience delivering BTEC in a relevant sector at this level, or a teaching qualification with GCE, iAL, or Applied GCE teaching experience in the relevant subject.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching or BTEC delivery experience.
• Experience within the last 8 years.

• Unit 2: Behaviour and Discipline in the Uniformed Protective Services
• Unit 6: Government and the Protective Services
