Job summary

King Edward’s School, Bath is seeking an Examinations Invigilator for casual hours to support mock and main exam periods. Shifts run from 8:00–12:30 and 13:00–18:00, with coverage of a minimum of ten sessions across exam seasons.

Candidates must ensure compliance with exam-board regulations and maintain a calm, orderly testing environment. Responsibilities include room preparation, attendance records, and assisting candidates with access arrangements.

Qualifications

• Exams invigilations require attention to exam board rules.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 10 sessions across mocks and main exams.
• Casual Hours Contract with morning/afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and materials in advance of exam sessions.
• Ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with exam board regulations.
• Supervise candidates with a calm, orderly environment throughout examinations.
• Complete attendance records, seating plans and other exam documentation accurately.
• Support candidates with access arrangements, including extra time and laptop use.
• Collect completed examination scripts at the end of each session.
• Uphold confidentiality, safeguarding responsibilities and integrity of the examination process.

Casual Hours Contract

Invigilators are required to invigilate exams:

Morning: From 8am to 12.30pm
Afternoon: From 1pm to 6pm (latest)

Afternoon: From 1pm to 6pm (latest)

Exams Season:
Mock exams are held in

January

&

February and the main exam season is in

May & June.

Invigilators are required to cover a minimum of 10 sessions in both the mock exams and the main exams.

Key Responsibilities
