The University of Westminster is looking for invigilators to work on a casual basis to support our formal examinations which take place in January, May and July. The role ensures the smooth running of the examination process in accordance with university regulations and procedures. We are looking for people who can demonstrate common sense, attention to detail and good organisation and communication skills.
As an invigilator you will:
Experience of invigilating examinations or similar activities would be advantageous.
You will be trained in the role ahead of the exam period. We run training onsite, so you can become familiar with the site and get to know your colleagues. There is an online module to complete which brings together the training and we provide briefing notes and support on the day.
The rate of pay during the examinations periods will normally be paid at £48 per exam. If you are allocated (on the day) to senior invigilator, the rate is £56 per exam.
Exams run during the following sessions 09:00-13:30 (morning), 13:30-17:30 (afternoon), 17:30-21:30 (evening). Some examinations run longer than the standard session where students have individual exam arrangements.
