Aspire People is recruiting Exam Invigilators to support Newport's secondary schools during busy examination periods. This part-time, flexible role suits those with experience in schools, administration, customer service, or youth work, and offers opportunities to gain valuable experience in education.

As an Invigilator, you will set up examination rooms, supervise students, ensure examination regulations are followed, handle papers and attendance, and maintain a calm, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Experience in schools or educational settings desirable.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service desirable or willingness to obtain.

About the Role

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted fairly, securely, and in accordance with examination regulations.

Responsibilities

• Setting up examination rooms and materials
• Supervising students before, during, and after examinations
• Ensuring examination regulations are followed at all times
• Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials
• Recording attendance accurately
• Assisting students with examination procedures where appropriate
• Reporting any concerns or irregularities to the Exams Officer
• Maintaining a calm and professional examination environment
