Job summary

Kibworth Mead Academy invites applications for Invigilators to join our examination team on a casual basis during the busy May–June exam period, with additional sessions in November/December and March. You will supervise exams, check identities, distribute materials and respond to incidents to ensure a calm, secure testing environment.

Job description

We are looking for Invigilators to join our existing examination team, who can work during the busy summer examination months of May and June each year, on a casual basis, plus other times of the year when mock examinations are being held (usually in November/December/March).

An invigilator's job is to oversee exams, ensuring integrity and a fair testing environment by preparing exam rooms, supervising candidates, enforcing regulations, and handling any incidents that occur. Key responsibilities include checking candidate identities, distributing materials, monitoring behaviour and potential malpractice, managing the exam's timing, and collecting scripts at the end. This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, supportive, and secure atmosphere for all candidates.

Kibworth Mead Academy, located in the pretty Leicestershire village of Kibworth Beauchamp, is one of five secondary schools in The Mead Educational Trust (TMET) and since joining TMET real improvements have been seen in our school, something reflected in our recent Good Ofsted inspection.
