Job summary

MyNewTerm is seeking multiple invigilators to support the school during the exam season. You will help create a calm, orderly environment in exam rooms and assist with seating, papers, and attendance to ensure fair, smooth examinations.

We value candidates who can motivate students, work well in a team, and engage with pupils. The role offers on-site parking, nursery and gym facilities, with potential for development and best-practices sharing.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about providing engaging and motivating support to students.
  • Experience working with children is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a calm, organised, and honest examination environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create the right environment in exam rooms for students to achieve their potential.
  • Assist with the layout of examination rooms and desk cards.
  • Ensure no unauthorised books or equipment are in the room.
  • Direct candidates to their seats according to the seating plan.
  • Ensure correct question papers are allocated.
  • Record attendance and notify relevant office of absentees.
  • Monitor candidates during exams in line with Awarding Body instructions.
  • Prevent use of mobile phones and other devices during exams.
  • Escort students from the exam room when required.
  • Distribute additional stationery as needed.
  • Collect papers after the examination and arrange by attendance.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a number of Invigilators ahead of the School's exam season. We are looking for candidate who have a real passion for providing engaging and motivating support to our students.

BASIC JOB PURPOSE
  • To create the right environment in exam rooms for students to achieve their potential in an organised, calm and honest way.
  • Assist with the arrangements for the layout of examination rooms and issue of desk cards.
  • Ensure that candidates have no unauthorised books or equipment in the examination room.
  • Direct candidates to their seats as per the seating plan.
  • Help to ensure that the correct question paper is allocated to the candidates.
  • Record the candidates’ attendance and promptly notify the Examinations Office or Admin Office of any absentees.
  • Observe candidates throughout the examination in accordance with Awarding Body instructions.
  • Ensure that no students are allowed access to mobile phones and other telecommunication devices during the exam.
  • Ensure that no students leave the exam in progress unless accompanied by an invigilator.
  • Escort students from the examination room when necessary.
  • Issue additional stationery when required.
  • Collect examination papers on completion of the examination, arrange in attendance
