Backwell School is seeking casual Exam Invigilators to support internal and external examinations from 4 January 2027 to 23 July 2027, with potential extension into the new academic year. Availability of at least six sessions per week during examination periods is preferred, with sessions running 8:10/8:30am–3:30/4:00pm.

Salary is £13.28 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay, equating to approximately £14.88 per hour.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Calm, confident and reassuring presence for students.
• Ability to give clear instructions and manage groups.
• Good IT skills to use web-based services to record availability, allocations, attendance and incidents.
• Reliable, professional and able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Supervising candidates during examinations.
• Distributing and collecting examination papers and materials.
• Assisting with the organisation of examination rooms.
• Escort students when required.
• Ensuring examination regulations are followed.
• Recording attendance and reporting incidents or irregularities.
• Working as part of a team in larger examination venues.
• Leading invigilation in smaller rooms where appropriate.
• Completing mandatory training and using the HR/payroll system (iTrent) for claim forms.
