Job summary

Great Yarmouth Charter Academy is recruiting for reliable and hardworking people to join our exam invigilation team on a casual, flexible basis. The role involves invigilating external and internal examinations and providing scribes or readers support to pupils needing extra help in exams.

The main examination period is May and June, with mock exams in November and February/March; training will be provided, and you will need to be available for those peak times.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy levels.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A flexible approach to work.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Computer literacy as you will be required to work with a computer on occasion.

Responsibilities

• To ensure the fair and proper conduct of exams in an environment that enables a pupil to perform at their best.
• To ensure that exams are carried out in accordance with the rules set out by the examination boards and Great Yarmouth Charter Academy.
• To assist with the implementation of agreed exam access arrangements to meet the needs of pupils.
