Job description

Overview

Warwick School are seeking to appoint individuals to join our experienced and friendly team of examination invigilators. The invigilators ensure that the candidates examinations are conducted according to the regulations and to allow all candidates to have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in a calm examination environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the examination room; distributing papers; seating candidates according to the plan; starting the examination; invigilating the examination ensuring that there is no communication between candidates; dealing with pupil queries; ending the examination; collecting in papers; and dismissing the candidates.

Availability

Public examinations take place in April, May and June each year and applicants will be expected to make themselves available for all or most of the examination weeks. The length of sessions can vary although you will need stay for the duration of each session allocated. Morning sessions usually begin at 8.30am and afternoon sessions at 1.00pm. Further invigilation opportunities are available during the academic year for some internal exams (e.g. mock exams in January).

Salary

Casual position salary: £14.63 per hour (£12.50 + £2.13 holiday pay)
