Exam Invigilator required - Crawley

Duration - 6th May - 16th June

Hourly rate: £14.00 (inclusive of Holiday)

Hours: 8.30 am - 4 pm - Monday to Friday

We are looking for an exam invigilator to support one of our local schools on a full-time basis from the 6th May until the 16th June. This role will be school-based for the hours of 8.30 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday, and we are looking for someone who is reliable and professional to support the students and school through this busy period.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the examination process by maintaining a fair and secure environment for students. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for work in an educational setting and could lead to further work at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Before the Exam:

  1. Collect and prepare exam materials in line with school procedures.
  2. Set up the exam room according to official regulations.
  3. Verify candidate identities and ensure correct seating arrangements.
  4. Distribute exam papers and necessary materials.

During the Exam:

  1. Monitor candidates to prevent malpractice and maintain order.
  2. Ensure all exam regulations are followed.
  3. Assist candidates with permitted queries in a calm and professional manner.
  4. Supervise comfort breaks under exam conditions.
  5. Manage exam timings and provide time reminders.

After the Exam:

  1. Collect answer scripts and exam materials in an organised manner.
  2. Ensure all papers are securely stored and returned to the exams office.
  3. Report any incidents or irregularities to the appropriate school authorities.

Requirements:

  1. Enhanced DBS check required (or the willingness to get one).
  2. Punctual, reliable, and highly attentive to detail.
  3. Professional, calm, and confident in enforcing regulations.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to follow procedures.
  5. Previous experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
