Job summary

Dyke House Academy, part of Northern Education Trust, is seeking a reliable Exam Invigilator to support the Data and Examinations Officer in running fair exams and maintaining an environment where pupils can perform at their best.

You will assist with exam setup, supervise candidates, manage disruptions, and coordinate post-exam scripts while upholding GDPR and board regulations.

Qualifications

• Follow and enforce strict examination board regulations and school policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and Data Protection Regulations.
• Observe candidate needs and potential malpractice to ensure due process.
• Willing to participate in statutory training and relevant meetings.

Responsibilities

• Examination Setup: Assist in preparing venues by laying out stationery, equipment, and papers according to strict procedures.
• Candidate Support: Direct candidates to their seats, advise them on permitted possessions, and respond to queries in line with regulations.
• Conduct & Monitoring: Ensure candidates remain quiet and cease disruptive behaviour once inside the venue.
• Invigilation: Monitor the room during exams, deal with irregularities, and record attendance, late arrivals, or early leavers.
• Safe Escorting: Supervise candidates during toilet breaks or when they need to leave the venue, ensuring no unauthorized material is consulted.
• Post-Exam Coordination: Collect and collate exam scripts following strict procedures and ensure students leave the venue quietly.
