Job summary

Pingle Academy is seeking friendly, reliable exam invigilators to join our supportive team. You will supervise GCSE, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form exams, ensuring fair conduct and smooth running of each assessment.

The role requires punctuality, adaptability and clear communication. Full training will be provided, including online modules, with opportunities to shadow experienced invigilators and gain valuable safeguarding experience.

Qualifications

• Punctual and reliable during exam periods.
• Able to adapt to changing schedules.
• Strong communication with students and staff.
• IT literacy is advantageous for online training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise GCSE, KS4 and Sixth Form exams to ensure fair conduct.
• Ensure exam conditions run smoothly and securely.
• Attend training and shadow experienced invigilators as needed.
• Be punctual and on your feet during examination sessions.

From GCSE and Key Stage 4 exams, and our Sixth Form running A Level and Key Stage 5 exams—you’ll have the chance to work in dynamic environment and play a vital role in helping students succeed.

Exams take place throughout the year. Flexibility and availability during these key times are essential, and in return, you’ll gain valuable experience and be part of a supportive team that truly values your contribution.

We provide full training and offer the opportunity to shadow experienced invigilators, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way. Plus, as a key member of our academy, you’ll complete essential training to work safely and effectively with young people—most of which is conveniently online (so IT skills are a bonus).

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be punctual, adaptable, attentive, and have excellent communication skills. Comfortable shoes are a must, as you’ll be on your feet ensuring exam conditions run smoothly.
