Job summary

Rainham School for Girls, part of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT), is seeking casual Exam Invigilators to support examination sessions across the year. Under the supervision of the Exam Manager, you will help uphold the integrity of exams and assist students in a calm, professional environment.

No invigilation experience is required as training will be provided; you must declare any prior invigilation activity and any sanctions.

Qualifications

  • Must follow confidentiality and security requirements of invigilation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exam sessions in the presence of candidates.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of examination materials and procedures.

Job description

Rainham School for Girls are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Exam Invigilator to work casually during our Exam Seasons under the supervision of our Exam Manager.

Core Purpose:

To ensure that the integrity of the examination/assessment process is upheld in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ)

The Role:

Our Invigilators are the person in the examination room responsible for conducting a particular examination session in the presence of the candidates. Our Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity of the external examination/assessment process and also in providing support and guidance to students.

General requirements:

  • Experience of invigilation is not required as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided
  • Invigilators are required to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them
  • Invigilators are required to confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods
  • Invigilators must confirm the confidentiality and security requirements surrounding the invigilation process are known, understood and will be followed at all times
