About Our Client

Our client is a Non-profit School and Sixth Form for students between the ages of 11-18 years old based in Godalming.

Job Description

The Key responsibilities for the Exam Invigilator are:

  • Ensure the security of exam papers and materials at all times, and return them as instructed.
  • Set up exam rooms in accordance with standard JCQ regulations.
  • Admit candidates into exam rooms, checking for any unauthorised items (e.g., mobile phones, pencil cases).
  • Respond to candidate queries without offering specific help or guidance.
  • Supervise candidates consistently, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Record and report any irregularities, including completing required documentation (e.g., late arrivals).
  • Collect exam scripts following the correct procedure and verify them against the attendance register.
  • Attend training sessions, including refresher and review meetings, or complete required online training.
  • Be prepared to invigilate computer-based or 'on-screen' assessments when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Exam Invigilator candidate would need to have the following:

  • A good standard of Maths and English.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Clear voice.
  • Ability to work in silence for a period of time.
  • Be able to commute to Godalming and surrounding areas.
  • Have previous experience in Education and Training.
