Job summary

Sandwell College invites applications for an Exams Invigilator to support exam delivery across the college, based at Cadbury College. The role is zero-hours, with training provided to ensure adherence to JCQ regulations and exam security, while maintaining a calm, professional environment for candidates.

The successful candidate will be reliable, punctual, and flexible, able to manage seating, attendance, and disrupt-free supervision during examinations, including handling confidential materials.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an educational or administrative environment.
• Level 3 qualification or above.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grades A*–C / 4–9)

Responsibilities

• Supervise examinations in line with JCQ regulations
• Ensure the security of examination papers and materials before, during, and after exams
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure correct seating and documentation
• Admit, identify, and seat candidates
• Distribute and collect examination papers and scripts
• Supervise candidates throughout exams and minimise disruption
• Respond appropriately to queries, incidents, or irregularities
• Accurately complete attendance registers and reports
• Return exam materials securely to the Exams Office

We’re looking to recruit reliable and professional Exams Invigilators to support the smooth delivery of examinations across the College.

This role is perfect for individuals who thrive under pressure, stay highly organised, and are committed to upholding the integrity and security of exams in line with JCQ regulations. As an Exams Invigilator, you’ll supervise sessions to ensure they run fairly and smoothly, guaranteeing every candidate has a positive experience while maintaining strict confidentiality and exam security.

Full training will be provided.
