Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support students with SEND and SEMH needs across the UK. Roles include in-person, hybrid, and online tutoring in Maths, English, or Science for KS1–KS5, with flexible hours and self-employed engagement.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of teaching experience, QTS/QTLS, and a commitment to trauma-informed, pupil-centered education in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/ PMLD.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan lessons, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to students and authorities.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
