Job Purpose

The successful candidate will support the Force priorities through the supervision and leadership of the Evidence Management staff, ensuring the provision of an efficient Evidence Management service effectively meeting operational demands.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Ensure the security of the Evidence Centre and all exhibits.

2. Supervise the daily activities, planning workloads, allocating tasks andensuring compliance with agreed practices and legislation.

3. Promote the development of the evidence staff through training, one to ones, objectives and performance reviews.

4. Ensure departmental performance goals are met and the delivery of ahigh level service.

5. Oversee the maintenance of safety standards and conduct riskassessments.

6. Provide regular reports to senior management as required.

7. Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders in relation tothe provision of an Evidence Management service.

Essential Qualifications

Educated toQCF Level3with a recognised qualification in Maths and English Language or experience to bring post holder to comparable level.

Previous experience of working in a busy office environment including a range of administrative procedures.

Ability to use initiative and prioritise work.

Ability to supervise and lead a small to medium size team.

Previous experience of working in a customer facing environment.

Computer literate, experienced in use of Microsoft Office.

Good literacy and communication skills
