  • Preparing food according to chef instructions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Providing friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to customers.
  • Flexibility to work across all kitchen, servery, staff canteen, and reception areas.
  • Ensuring all areas are kept to high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Organizing and maintaining catering storage areas.
  • Receiving, inspecting, and storing goods and equipment.
  • Assisting with food preparation and service when needed.
  • Reporting incidents, accidents, or irregularities promptly.
  • Reporting broken equipment to the Head Chef.
Job description

The Pump Room in Bath is looking for a Kitchen Porter/Wash-up Assistant to join the team and support the daily operations of the venue.

The Georgian Pump Room has been a social hub of Bath for over two centuries, with notable past patrons including Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

Job Details

Type: Full-time, 40-hour contract

This role involves working 5 days out of 7, including evenings, based on a 40-hour week. Flexibility is required due to occasional evening shifts and the nature of the business.
