Events Specialist

Role Overview

We are supporting our client in finding an Events Specialist for their Melbourne-based team. This role offers a unique opportunity to design and deliver high-calibre events for a distinguished membership of business leaders. The position encompasses all aspects of event planning, logistics, and execution, ensuring each event meets the organisation's exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver 20 - 30 events per year, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple event sizes from 10 people to 200 people.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create events that align with the organisation's learning themes and strategic objectives.
3. Manage event budgets of up to $500K per year, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.
4. Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, catering, and entertainment.
5. Use platforms like Cvent to manage event communications, registrations, and feedback.
6. Provide creative input to elevate the quality and impact of events.

Candidate Profile Key Skills and Experience:

1. Proven track record in high-end event planning, ideally in corporate or agency environments.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience liaising with senior stakeholders.
4. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and think creatively.
5. A proactive self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills.
6. Polished and professional, capable of engaging confidently with senior executives.
