Job Title: Senior Event Operations Lead (11-month FTC)

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days office-based)

Salary: £90,000 base + TBD

Employment Type: Permanent or Contract (Flexible)

Reporting To: Senior Leadership Team

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Event Operations Director to oversee and drive operational excellence across global events, including US, EU, and Asia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the continued success and smooth execution of large-scale events while supporting department heads in strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a second voice and support to department heads, ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Oversee and ensure consistency across event, commercial, and content operations.
  • Lead and support a team of 23 professionals, fostering growth and development.
  • Drive successful execution of global events, maintaining high standards in speaker management, sponsorship, and exhibitor experiences.
  • Support organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions without disrupting morale.
  • Manage budgets and sponsorship inventory to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Lead capable Department Heads with a collaborative approach.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in large-scale events (conferences and trade shows).
  • Strong team leadership and development skills.
  • Understanding of commercial operations including sponsorship and inventory management.
  • High emotional intelligence (EI) for team dynamics and change management.
  • Familiarity with US event regulations is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Target Start Date: End of May/early June.
Interview Process:
  • Two to three interview rounds.
  • Second round in-person.
  • Decision by end of March to accommodate notice periods.
