Job description

Help create unforgettable experiences that make a lasting difference.

Are you an experienced fundraiser with a passion for delivering exceptional events and building meaningful relationships? Do you thrive on bringing people together for a great cause? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Officer to join our Income Generation Team at Birmingham Hospice. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a varied and inspiring programme of fundraising events that not only raise vital income but also create memorable experiences for our supporters.

From fun runs and adrenaline-fuelled challenges to heartfelt in-memory events, no two days are the same. You'll take the lead in coordinating a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring every participant feels valued and supported while helping to grow awareness and income for Birmingham Hospice.

Working closely with the Events Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality events from planning through to evaluation. You'll engage with supporters by phone, email and face-to-face, build lasting relationships, and use your creativity to identify new opportunities to grow our events programme and inspire even more people to get involved.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about fundraising and delivering outstanding supporter experiences.
  • Experienced in managing a portfolio of events and achieving or exceeding participation and income targets.
  • A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with supporters, volunteers, suppliers and colleagues at every level.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems to manage supporter data and event administration (experience is desirable).

This is your chance to combine your event management expertise with a role that has genuine purpose. Every event you deliver will help Birmingham Hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to local people and their families when they need it most.

If you're ready to use your creativity, enthusiasm and fundraising experience to make a real impact, we'd love to welcome you to our team.
