Events Marketing Manager – B2B Exhibitions - London

up to £45k Basic plus 20% Bonus + Benefits – Hybrid Working

NB - you must have 3+ years of Events Marketing (with some Exhibitions) experience to be considered for this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading B2B Media & Events brand as an Exhibitions Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for high-value exhibitions within the transportation sector.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for developing and delivering marketing strategies, tactics and campaigns to drive brand awareness and growth in audience numbers and sales leads.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of b2b Events marketing experience, with some experience in Exhibitions marketing
  • Good all-round marketing skills including email marketing, social media marketing, paid search (LinkedIn ads, PPC – they use an agency to assist with paid channels), copywriting, content editing, some design experience (eg Canva)
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • An enthusiastic team player with a can do attitude. Proactive, ambitious and results driven.
  • Energy and confidence to deal with and influence a variety of stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • A passion for marketing and exhibitions with a commercial/growth mind-set.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing your responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and deliver the exhibitions marketing strategies for c3 large events per year.
  • Manage, monitor, optimise and report on the effectiveness of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Provide marketing support to the commercial team to drive engagement and commercial revenue growth.
  • Responsibility for setting and reporting against all marketing spend within the event budget.
  • Work alongside the sector head and head of marketing to set targets and objectives for each exhibition and deliver the marketing strategy outlining the strategy, tactics, channels, messaging and budget needed to be successful.
  • Manage the execution of all marketing activity to drive exhibitor leads, visitor registrations and VIP sign ups as well as attendee conversions and exhibitor communications in the build up to each event.
  • Create, test and optimise a range of different email marketing campaigns with targeted and engaging content that is well written, benefits-led and with clear calls to action where appropriate.
  • Coordinate the design and production of all event and advertising collateral ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to including review and sign off.
  • Ensure websites are up to date, visually appealing and deliver excellent user experience while optimising for SEO/SEM and data capture.
  • Keep on top of market developments to ensure all messaging is current and engaging, analyse competitor performance/messaging and activity and keep alert to opportunities for new partnerships and useful data sources.
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and partners to build strong relationships and ensure optimum quality, efficiency and return on investment.
  • Plan, manage and optimise effective digital advertising (through agency) and social media campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and conversions.
