Live Recruitment is seeking an Event Graphic Design Director to lead the 2D design discipline for large-scale European event programmes, from brief through delivery. You will manage a small team of midweight designers and collaborate with a dedicated 3D designer to create compelling physical environments.

A strong portfolio showing graphic design for live spaces is essential; agency experience is preferred, with openness to in-house backgrounds.

The Company

This is a large-scale, independently owned experience marketing agency operating across more than two dozen countries. The creative department spans 2D, 3D, motion, creative technology and strategy, all in-house, which means real collaboration and genuine craft across disciplines. The agency has won significant new UK business in 2026, and the Event Graphic Design Director stepping into this environment will find a strong track record across technology, sports and B2B experiential for global blue-chip brands. The Role

The Event Graphic Design Director leads the 2D design discipline on large-scale event programmes, working from initial brief through to delivery, with line management of midweight designers and close collaboration with a dedicated 3D designer.

The Candidate

The right candidate for the Event Graphic Design Director role has a strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design applied to physical event spaces, with a clear conceptual narrative behind the work. Agency experience is preferred, though a background in a sizeable in-house events team is equally considered.

Experience collaborating with 3D designers, working across international or multi-market programmes, or developing colour systems and brand identity for live environments is all beneficial but not essential. What matters most is the portfolio: physical, spatial, conceptual. This is a role where the Event Graphic Design Director sets the creative standard, and ambition to do that is the baseline.
