Events Executive – 12 Month Maternity Cover

Salary: £32,000 + Excellent Benefits | Remote (UK-based, with travel required)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Executive to join a well-established membership organisation on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Based remotely in the UK, with travel required for events, this role offers a salary of £32,000 plus excellent benefits. The organisation has a proud history spanning over 100 years, is highly regarded in the education sector, and delivers a wide-ranging programme of professional development events across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional to take ownership of a busy calendar of conferences, webinars, and residential events in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a busy annual schedule of conferences, webinars, and networking events.
  • Manage event logistics, including venues, suppliers, contracts, and delegate communications.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and sponsors to support event success.
  • Oversee event budgets, invoicing, and post-event reporting to ensure value for money.
  • Support event marketing activities to drive delegate engagement and attendance.
What Experience is Required
  • Proven background in managing professional events, ideally including large-scale or multi-day conferences.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a membership, education, or not-for-profit setting would be advantageous.
  • A strong interest in 'Women in Leadership' would be a huge advantage.

Location

This is a remote role, but candidates should be within commutable distance for UK travel to events. Suitable locations include Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Northampton, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Oxford, and surrounding areas.
