Chisholm is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator (Student Life) for our Marketing and Communications team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Events Coordinator (Student Life) is responsible for leading, planning, delivering, promoting and evaluating a program of primarily on-campus activities to current students. Activations aim to enrich the current student experience, promote connection and a sense of belonging, and positively impact student engagement, support, employability and academic success. Activations may include events, activities, workshops, digital engagement, and more. The position is responsible for designing and delivering programs that provide engagement throughout the current student journey, actively celebrate and / or acknowledge key dates and events, support and celebrate diversity and inclusion, and amplify the student voice. This role will be required to work across campuses, and at events outside of standard business hours.

ABOUT YOU

As an agile, self-starter with a creative, customer-first mindset, you will have advanced stakeholder engagement skills and an ability to liaise effectively with students and staff at all levels and from a range of backgrounds. You will have experience in identification, evaluation and implementation of communication and engagement strategies for diverse groups of people that reflect their unique situation. Crucial to your success are your skills in critically assessing stakeholder needs and providing specialist engagement advice along with your superior end-to-end event planning experience and ability to provide direction and supervision to staff, contractors and / or volunteers. You will be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, including the ability to self-monitor work requirements and achieve deadlines, proven ability to manage budgets, have strong written and visual communications skills, including the ability to prepare a variety of marketing and communication materials and tools that effectively engage with audiences.

Qualifications required for the role

Relevant degree and experience, or lesser formal qualifications in a related field and substantial experience in events and engagement.
