Job description

Events Coordinator, ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC

The Royal Academy of Music is a vibrant institution with a diverse community of students and staff from over 60 countries. Renowned for developing future musical leaders across disciplines such as Classical Performance, Composition, Opera, Jazz, and Musical Theatre, the Academy offers numerous performance opportunities, hosting around 500 events annually.

Philanthropy is central to our mission, supporting initiatives like the Future campaign launched in 2022, which aims to raise £100 million to bolster our programs. We are seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Events Coordinator to join our Philanthropy team. Your role will involve coordinating high-profile donor engagement events, Academy-wide functions, and bespoke gatherings (virtual and in-person) throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience in event management, excellent multitasking abilities, and strong organizational skills. You should be confident in planning and executing events, liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrating tact and assertiveness when managing conflicting priorities. Discretion and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to the arts and education.

Experience in the arts or higher education sectors is advantageous. A commitment to the Academy’s mission is essential.

Applications must be received by 23:59 on Sunday, 6 July 2025. First-round interviews are scheduled online on 14 July 2025, with second-round interviews on-site during the week of 21 July 2025.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students. We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, and those with disabilities to promote diversity and inclusion, which enriches our community and enhances our work.

We welcome your application.
