Job summary

Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford is seeking an Events Assistant to provide vital administrative and operational support across a diverse portfolio of events, including Open Days, Awards dinners, Clearing and Graduation ceremonies. You will coordinate logistics, manage suppliers, maintain CRM data, support Eventbrite registrations and oversee equipment delivery on and off campus.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys being at the heart of events and delivering exceptional experiences. As an Events Assistant, you will provide vital administrative and operational support across a diverse portfolio of corporate events, public engagement activities and student recruitment events, including Open Days, Awards dinners, Clearing and Graduation ceremonies. Working closely with colleagues, suppliers and external partners, you will help coordinate event logistics, manage suppliers, maintain accurate records and CRM data, support Eventbrite registrations, oversee event equipment and assist with the smooth delivery of events both on and off campus. You will also manage the corporate gifts ordering system, and support the publication of our events newsletter.

We are looking for a highly organised and customer focused individual with excellent administrative, communication and planning skills. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining attention to detail and building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience in an administrative role, strong Microsoft Office skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. You will be proactive, adaptable with the ability to remain calm under pressure. An interest in events and experience of CRM systems will be advantageous, while a flexible approach to occasional evening and weekend working, together with the ability to travel between campuses when required, is essential.
