We are seeking a detail-oriented Events and Stewardship Manager to manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-impact events and stewardship initiatives that engage and inspire prospects, donors, and our partners:
- Events: Taking a proactive approach to project management, this role will be responsible for delivering a range of events across our global portfolio. These events support Mission 44’s fundraising goals, especially targeting HNWI and corporate audiences.
- Stewardship: As part of the fundraising team, the post-holder will deliver exceptional support and experiences for our current donors, including producing impact-focused reports, personalized communications, and community-building moments. The role is expected to have a 60:40 split between events management and stewardship activities. This position is ideal for a skilled planner, an exceptional collaborator, and a strong writer capable of supporting the delivery of outstanding donor experiences and stewardship materials. While Mission 44’s events are global, this role will involve minimal international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Special Events Management
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of global events, including donor dinners, trackside activations, and fundraising galas.
- Lead core event logistics, including venue searches, supplier contracts, and production schedules for multi-day events.
- Produce briefing materials for event participants, staff, trustees, donors, and partners.
- Support the fundraising team in securing sponsorships, ticket sales, and auction items, including targeted outreach collateral.
- Evaluate event activities, capturing key learnings, recommendations, and ROI.
- Coordinate with the Data and Operations Manager to ensure event data is accurately updated in our CRM system (Virtuous).
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to align event materials with brand messaging.
Stewardship: Donor Communications and Reporting
- Deliver exceptional donor experiences through impact reports, personalized communications, and bespoke touchpoints.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of donor reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage select stewardship projects to strengthen relationships, especially with corporate partners.
- Work with Impact and Finance teams to gather data, track progress, and improve reporting processes.
- Ensure donor communications are consistent with brand messaging.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in Virtuous.

- Experience managing bespoke events, campaigns, or fundraising initiatives from conception to evaluation.
- Experience with events for HNWI and corporate prospects/donors.
- Understanding of supporter journey and improving donor experience.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders and external suppliers, including venue health & safety, catering, AV, and high-profile support.
- Strong written communication skills, including report writing.
- Experience with fundraising CRM systems and guest management systems.
- Track record of increasing income through event fundraising.
- Project management qualification (e.g., Agile, Prince II, Scrum).
- Ability to develop branded materials and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Experience working with young people and embedding safeguarding policies.
- Experience working in an international setting.
