In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end management of hospitality events across our campuses—from initial enquiry to flawless delivery—while inspiring a team of administrators and delivery staff to exceed expectations at every touchpoint.

Make a difference

  • Lead and inspire the Events Admin and Delivery teams, fostering a customer-focused, high-performance culture.
  • Take full ownership of event lifecycles, including planning, proposals, logistics, execution, and post-event review.
  • Drive innovation by researching trends, developing new service ideas, and improving operational processes.
  • Promote UWE Hospitality across internal and external channels, strengthening our brand through consistent and high-quality event delivery.
  • Oversee financial and systems operations for events, supporting accurate budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to ensure collaborative, cross-departmental success.
  • Track event data, client feedback, and sales performance to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food safety regulations, acting as a Designated Premises Supervisor and licence holder where required.

You'll thrive if you have:

  • A passion for the events industry and proven experience managing events from concept to delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage workloads, and drive professional development.
  • Expertise in operational planning and customer engagement, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Confidence in financial and IT systems, including managing P&Ls.
  • Experience using data and business intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • A thorough understanding of health & safety and licensing compliance within the hospitality and events sector.

We Offer:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package, with a 37-hour working week.
  • A good work-life balance supported by generous annual leave.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities within a dynamic university environment.
  • Access to staff discounts and wellbeing benefits, including cycle-to-work schemes and discounted gym memberships.
  • A unique opportunity to deliver events that shape the student experience and showcase the best of UWE Bristol.
