Job summary

Blank Space Recruitment represents prestigious venues in the West Midlands and is recruiting an Event/Conference Technician to join a busy technical team.

You will support all technical elements of events, including audio, video, lighting and staging, maintain equipment, rig and operate setups for conferences and galas, and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced live environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in all technical areas of event delivery including sound, lighting, video and staging.
• Proactive approach and strong communication skills.
• Proven experience as an AV Technician in a live event environment.
• Strong IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of all technical elements of events across venues (conferences, awards, galas).
• Rig and operate a technical setup for conferences and events.

The Role

This is a technical role supporting the delivery of all technical elements of events across the venues, from conferences to awards and gala dinners. Working closely with the client as well as internal production team, the role will support across audio, video, lighting and staging ensuring that health and safety practices are adhered to. Maintaining, storing and cleaning all technical equipment is part of this role, as well as rigging and operating a technical set up for a conference.

About you

We are seeking a confident Technician with experience in all technical areas of event delivery including sound, lighting, video and staging. With a proactive approach and strong communication skills you must be able to demonstrate proven experience as an AV Technician in a live event environment and have strong IT skills.
