Job description

Coventry Building Society Arena is a premier venue hosting conferences, exhibitions, meetings, sports, music, and live entertainment. It attracts 1.2 million visitors annually and hosts over 600 events each year. The arena is home to Coventry City Football Club and has hosted renowned artists such as Coldplay, Rolling Stones, Harry Styles, and Arctic Monkeys.

Overview:

We are seeking Event SIA Staff to join us on a casual basis. The primary responsibility is to ensure guests have an excellent customer experience at every event held at CBS Arena.

Hours of Work:

This role is offered on a casual basis with no guaranteed hours. Shift patterns are flexible and may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. Pay starts from £12.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure health, safety, and welfare of customers, staff, and security personnel.
  2. Control access and egress to the venue.
  3. Respond to incidents, report issues, and eject individuals if necessary.
  4. Search bags and individuals upon entry where required.
  5. Monitor crowd safety and behavior.
  6. Conduct safety checks.
  7. Manage customer flow during entry and exit to prevent overcrowding.
  8. Assist in the safe operation of the venue.
  9. Staff strategic points such as entrances, exits, and fire exits.
  10. Recognize crowd conditions to ensure safety and smooth movement.
  11. Assist customers and emergency services during emergencies.
  12. Respond to emergencies, raise alarms, and take immediate action.
  13. Perform specific duties as directed by managers or emergency services.
  14. Provide basic emergency first aid.
  15. Perform any other reasonable duties related to the role.
