An established and very successful B2B conference company that produces events across UK and Europe, is looking to train an Event Project Assistant. As an assistant to the project management team, you’ll play an integral part in supporting its delivery of client-led projects and large-scale events. At the moment, these are all digital but, restrictions permitting, live events will return soon. Candidates applying for this role must be organised and diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
Event Project Assistant - Roles & responsibilities
- Support Head of Events to ensure booking schedules are up-to-date and accurate
- Support booking of resources and suppliers for all projects
- Support researching of new suppliers or resources such as venues, moderators, writers
- Project Manage internal stakeholders for digital marketing campaigns, prepare data and post-project engagement reports, and report to clients
- Support project managers in exporting and reporting of client leads
- Collect project assets from internal stakeholders such as logos
- Create design lists for all digital and in-person projects
- Project managing design for all digital and in-person projects
- Input and export surveys on SurveyMonkey + analysing data
- General admin support for project managers including:
- Website updates
- Keeping Salesforce up-to-date and creating Salesforce events
- Creating briefing documents
Event Project Assistant - Requirements- No degree required but at least three Bs at A Level. We are not looking for Event Management training, we can teach you that; writing skills are important so our preferred subjects are academic, essay-based Arts subjects such as: English, History, Geography, Philosophy, Politics, Theology etc
- Evidence of organisational skills is an advantage so if you’ve organised a charity appeal, a ski-season, a sports event, a long period of travelling or similar, please make that clear on your application.
- IT Skills - generallyTech-savvy with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly - especially with digital administration
- Excellent written and spoken English and high attention to detail, so make sure your CV has no spelling or grammar errors.
- Communication skills: Event Assistants need the ability to step up to a Coordinator role talking to clients, listening to their needs and present ideas and solutions. They work with suppliers, contractors, employees, venue staff and many other parties at the same time.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
