Job summary

Royal Lancaster London is seeking a passionate Casual Event Porter to join our Events Department on a casual basis with an immediate start. You will help deliver five-star service and memorable moments for guests while bringing positive energy to a lively team.

You will assist with setup and breakdown of spaces, move equipment, and ensure areas meet hotel standards. The role offers flexible hours according to business needs and availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or events is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible to work on a casual basis and variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and dismantling of event spaces and décor.
• Ensure event areas meet standards and function specifications.
• Move and handle event materials and AV equipment.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and resetting spaces for future events.
• Provide high-quality guest service and support to the Events team.

We are currently looking for a passionate Casual Event Porter, to join our Events Department on a casual basis, with an immediate start to join us in consistently delivering memorable moments and five star service to our guests and each other. As a Casual Event Porter, your main duties and expectations for the role will include:

• Assist in the setup and dismantling of event spaces, including furniture, staging, tables, chairs, and décor.
• Ensure all event areas are correctly arranged according to function specifications and hotel standards.
• Assist with unloading and moving event materials, including AV equipment, tableware, and supplies.
• Conduct thorough post-event breakdown and resetting of spaces for future events.
• Follow all health & safety, fire, and manual handling procedures.
• Assist with post-event clean-up and resetting for future events.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

You will work the hours according to your availability and business needs, just notify your manager and they will schedule your shifts accordingly.
