***EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER***

The purpose of the Event Operations Manager is to manage the onsite reusable product operational programme and be the main point of contact onsite for a range of customers in the sports, music & festival sectors. There are 2 openings available, 1 based in the South of the UK and the other in the Midlands. This role will suit someone with previous experience of people-management within multi-site or standalone operational venues. It's a 'hands on' role requiring a 'can do' attitude.
Salary: £36-40K depending on experience + Bonus + 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company work vehicle, Laptop/office equipment.
Key responsibilities for the Event Operations Manager include:

  1. Managing the reusable product programme on-site at venues in and around your area requiring travel within your region.
  2. Manage and lead the reusable product Supervisor and team onsite during events.
  3. Liaise & communicate effectively with the onsite venue operations team ensuring that the agreed service is effectively delivered.
  4. Fully manage the team ensuring that all reusable products are collected during the event, sorted, and stored ready for collection and return to the wash facilities.
  5. Manage and be the point of contact for the delivery of clean and collection of dirty reusable products by the logistics team.
  6. Ensure that all site documentation & event reporting is accurately completed.
  7. Ensure all on site & company Health & Safety requirements are met and complied with.
  8. Work within the team cross country to provide management support at designated events during gaps within the schedule if required.

The ideal Events Operations Manager will need the following:

  1. Experience in people management either in multi-site or standalone operational venues.
  2. Experience of working for a major UK contract caterer in an operational role desirable.
  3. Experience in the Events industry would be advantageous.
  4. Good standard level of education.
  5. Confident IT and numeracy skills essential.
  6. Excellent verbal/written communication skills essential.
  7. Forklift/Telehandler licence useful (training can be provided).
  8. Full UK driving licence essential with flexibility to travel to multiple sites within your region.
  9. An interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
  10. Previous project management experience useful.
  11. Ability to lead a team by example and set exemplary working practices onsite.
