Job title: Event Operations Manager

Location: Office-based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, with travel to live event sites across the UK.

The role: We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Event Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in the end-to-end planning, delivery, and post-event evaluation of our portfolio of events.

You will work as part of a focused operations team of three, within a broader events department of 15. While the role is primarily office-based during planning phases, it requires full on-site presence during live events, where you will be responsible for overseeing logistics, managing operational teams, and ensuring the smooth and professional execution of each event.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate logistics such as AV set-up, transportation, scheduling
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to meet all event requirements
  • Manage budgets and negotiate contracts to maximise cost-effectiveness
  • Supervise on site event set-up and ensure smooth operations, troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Manage and support event staff on-site, ensuring clear communication and efficient teamwork
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to events
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Deliver comprehensive support to the Head of Operations

Qualifications & skills:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Manage multiple projects at any one time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work away from home during events (accommodation and expenses provided)
  • Proficiency in using event management tools or systems (e.g., Eventbrite, CRMs) is advantageous
