Glasgow Life is seeking an Event Manager (Venue and Operations) for a 35-hour full-time, fixed-term contract until December 2028. You will join our dedicated Events team, supporting Glasgow's commitments to the 2026 Commonwealth Games and UEFA EURO 2028.
Glasgow Life leads the city's event strategy, investing in major cultural and sporting events such as the Merchant City Festival, Glasgow Mela, World Pipe Band Championships, and Glasgow's winter events. We also deliver major international events, including the World Athletics Indoors Championships 2024, UCI Cycling World Championships 2023, and European Capital of Sport 2023, with plans for Glasgow 2026 and UEFA EURO 2028. As Event Manager (Venue and Operations), you will play a key role in delivering major sporting events, including the 2026 Commonwealth Games and UEFA EURO 2028. Reporting to the Senior Events Lead (Projects), you will oversee operational planning for venues, manage venue use agreements, readiness, and service coordination, working with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure venues are prepared and aligned with citywide goals.
The role will focus on operational planning and delivery for Glasgow 2026, transitioning to EURO 2028, including managing fan zones and activations.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 2028, offering a unique opportunity to hold a senior operational role in Glasgow’s international event delivery.
